Standing up for Orléans

Manon Parrot is a labour and social justice activist, proud francophone, and long-time resident of Orléans, where she raised her two daughters. She works as a translator and has been active at the grassroots level for over 30 years defending workers and the most vulnerable.

Manon was involved in the Ottawa chapter of the Fight for $15 and Fairness campaign, which led to major gains for precarious workers in Ontario. The Ford government has rolled back most of these gains and made deep cuts to our public services, which will affect our province for generations to come. Manon believes Ontarians deserve better. She wants to work towards a future where our seniors have access to affordable long-term care, where our children get quality education and their teachers are valued, where young adults can get decent jobs and afford housing, and where everyone has access to public health care, regardless of ability to pay. We must send a strong message that the people of Orleans are opposed to these massive cuts by voting for Manon Parrot and the NDP. Manon is committed to the fight for affordable and reliable public transit and to protecting our environment. Manon is a compassionate person who will fight for the things that matter to us.

Manon Parrot is an outstanding candidate who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to working people and the NPD. She would make a fine member of the Ontario legislature!
